The Seacret™ Opportunity
So, a few months ago, a dear friend came to me with a business opportunity. Jennifer has made millions - literally - on relationship marketing and she has tried repeatedly to get me to join her in her endeavours. In the past, I have resisted. I'm not a "door-to-door" salesperson. This particular opportunity brought Jennifer out of retirement. She saw huge potential in the business plan coupled with a spectacular product. She did her research, met the owner, considered the future of the cosmetics/skin care industry and said, "this is it!" For my part, I am an unemployed SAHM who is having a terrible time finding a traditional job. I am also a consumer of skincare products, as most of us are, and I can see that this industry shows no signs of declining over the foreseeable future. The investment was also relatively small: at the very least, I have a box of amazing product for over half off the MSRP. The obligation was next to nothing and, hey, I was helping a friend build her own business. For the very first time in my 20 years of knowing Jennifer, I signed on!
What is it?
The product is a luxury line - yes it's pricey, but you get what you pay for - of skincare products produced along the shores of the Dead Sea. You may recognise the name: Seacret™. They have had kiosks in high-end malls in the United States for years. In fact, many people I have spoken to about the line have experienced the high-pressure tactics of Seacret's mall salespeople. That's not me...I'm not the high-pressure type, neither as a consumer nor a salesperson. Strike one against Seacret, as far as I was concerned. But...wait: this is direct sales and I get to be the kind of salesperson I want to be. But what about the product itself?
In typical Heather style, I was sceptical of their claims. So, I purchased my start-up kit and I started becoming a "product of the product." I'm here to say, I LOVE THE PRODUCTS! If I never sell a jar to another person or sign up another Agent, I will continue to use my Seacret Regimen! Of course, I have my favourites - and products I might not use again - and I'll itemise those bit-by-bit. From day one, I noticed a difference in the lines around my eyes and on my forehead. My skin looks fresh and young. And the friends I invited to to try the product: I have amazing before and after photographs to show what a 15-minute makeover can do. I have to say, I've never been a "skin regimen" kind of person, but I have no problem taking my mini "makeover" time twice a day. My regimen has become second-nature.
And guess what: there's bang for your buck. A few years ago, I spent a small fortune on another product line that I loved; unfortunately, my very sensitive skin reacted to it. The pricing was comparable to Seacret but I ran out of cream in no time. I was very disappointed to see that the jars were double-lined and where I thought I was getting a jar full of product, I was actually getting half the amount the jar appeared to hold. The majority of Seacret's packaging is glass: what you see is what you get. So far, my products last approximately 3 months/per packaging, based on twice-a-day use.
I mentioned my sensitive skin! As a person who reacted even to almost all of the high-end sensitive skin lines, this is a huge BONUS: I don't react to my Seacret regimen. My previous skincare line was a hypoallergenic, luxury line meant specifically for very sensitive skin. It was a very lovely and mild product, but it didn't give me the results that I get from Seacret.
What is the business like?
I'll get in to more detail on the business side of things later, but suffice it to say that it has great promise for residual income. As far as what I have to do, there are a few things that I like about Seacret's approach in comparison to some other direct sales opportunities. My favourite parts:
- I don't have to do huge parties! I can take a few of Seacret's WOW products in my purse and demonstrate them on the fly;
- I don't have to keep a pile of stock on hand! Everything is drop-shipped from Seacret Direct to my customer. Returns go through head office;
- After their initial set-up, my Preferred Customers get to manage their own orders. They can shop. cancel and manipulate their replenishment through their own web portal;
- My Preferred Customers can sign up new Preferred Customers through their own web portal and they get product credit for doing so. Who doesn't chat up a product that they love? With this plan, you not only get to chat it up, you get to help someone try it and receive credit for doing so;
- It doesn't take much to start reaping the benefits of the business program. Two Active Agents with the necessary volume and you're off to the races!
Heather, why are you blogging about this?
Well, I don't like saturating my Facebook and Twitter pages with my business ventures. However, I do want to expose those who are interested to this fabulous line. Over the next few weeks, I'll show you a few of my favourite products and post a few Before and After togs. In true "no pressure" style, I'll let you decide what you think. Of course, if you live close by, I would be more than happy to demonstrate the product for you. If you're not close by, I can always send a one-time sample regimen for you to try. If you like what you see, let's sign you up as a Preferred Customer (or maybe even an Agent!) and get you on the road to beautiful skin!
You can always visit my Seacret portal - link at the bottom of the page - to research and purchase products.
Yours in Beautiful Skin,
Heather Perkins
